About Me

I hold a PhD in Digital and Fashion Entrepreneurship (2025). During my academic journey, I was awarded Best Paper Runner-Up at the British Academy of Management (BAM) Conference 2020 for my research on entrepreneurial ecosystems.
I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Chartered Management & Business Educator (CMBE), which reflects my commitment to investing in growth and maintaining excellence in teaching, learning, and professional practice. As of August 2025, my career has been honoured and privileged by the title of FCMI as fellow certified manager for being CEO and University leader of 6 educational courses
With over six years of teaching experience in entrepreneurship and business at higher education institutions, I have been consistently recognized for excellence in education. I received three Best Teaching Awards—twice at the British University in Egypt (2010) and once at the University of Edinburgh Business School (2018)—all based on student voting. In Fall 2023, I also received recognition for achieving a 4.7 teaching score, with one student describing me as an “absolute legend.”
My classes are interactive, debate-driven, and designed to spark creativity and critical thinking. I employ innovative approaches, such as holding discussions in green spaces or using music to stimulate reflection. These practices, along with my awards, highlight my track record in designing and delivering engaging, student-led workshops, tutorials, and lectures.
Beyond academia, I have practical entrepreneurial experience through my contributions to our multinational family business in construction, with offices in Egypt, Dubai, Oman, Morocco, and planned expansion into China. I established the company’s Human Resources department after ISO 9001 training and later directed its Business Development division before relocating to the UK in 2017. This professional background enriches my teaching by blending theory with real-world practice.
I am also committed to community building. In 2021, I received the Best Community Award from the University of Edinburgh’s Entrepreneurship & Innovation Department for my role as doctoral representative. I organized impactful panels addressing men’s mental health and work-life balance for women, reflecting my dedication to creating positive change.
Driven by achievement and a commitment to growth, I continuously seek to bridge research, practice, and community impact. Notabley to mention I recieved Palm D'or for being top of my class at undergraduate studies (2010), as well as, teaching badge of honour (2018) based on my students' votings at the University of Edinburgh
